Galentine's Day - Open Gym and Valentine's Day Activities
Open gym is available for gymnasts of all skill levels from ages 6 to 16. We ask that all participants wear athletic clothing or leotards and bring water. Each open gym registration closes at noon on the day of the open gym. Participants MUST be pre-registered and will be turned away if pre-registration was not completed. No experience is required to participate in open gyms. Coaches will be available to provide guidelines and assistance to participants. Open gyms reach capacity at 20 participants and are on a first come first serve basis.
Recreation Bars & Beam Clinics: Have a gymnast who is struggling to master a certain event? We are holding specialized clinics during CCSD early release days to help these gymnasts work through problematic events or simply have a chance to work new skills on events they enjoy. These clinics are limited to 15 participants per clinic and gymnasts do not have to be a current participant of our program. Registration closes at 12 PM the day of the clinic and is open for beginner -advanced gymnasts. No preschool age or competitive gymnasts may register.
Come tryout for the 2024-2025 City of Charleston Gymnastics Team! If you have a child interested in competitive gymnastics, this is the opportunity for her to showcase her skills for our competitive staff. Current gymnasts from other competitive programs may also register for this tryout but please reach out to Chelsie at [email protected] with your child's current level so she can be evaluated with other current competitive members. Spaces on the competitive team are limited and level assignments will vary based on certain skills your child may already have. Once registration ends we will give gymnasts time slots within the window to come and be evaluated. We are not concerned with how many skills gymnasts have but how coachable they are and willing to take corrections given by coaches. Being coachable is one of the top qualities we are looking for in a competitive gymnast. Parents will be given information on competitive team pricing and time commitment at the tryout. Competitive team practices range from 6 to 16 hours per week depending on level and summer practices will begin in May.
